The Alumni Association nominated Debbie Dacus Stewart (class of 1984) as the 2009 Cominghome Queen and Dennis Dacus (class of 1988) as Mr. Ex.
The 2007-2009 office holders for the Alumni Association (Kirk Whitehurst-President, Class of 1986; Keith Davis-Vice President/Treasurer, Class of 1986; Patty Snodgrass Davis-Parade Chair, Class of 1986) have done an amazing job the last two years, and we would like to thank them for all their hard work!
The torch has been passed this year, and new officers were elected to the Alumni Association to hold office for 2009-2011. April Kelley Brooks-President (Class of 1989): Whitney Hudson Cloud-Vice President/Treasurer (Class of 1999); and Brandy Appleton -Parade Chair (Class of 1988).
We look forward to the next two years. We will be working closely with the former officers and the rest of the Alumni Association members. We have had the chance to talk and share our thoughts and ideas for the 2010 Homecoming activities as well as other goals for our organization.
Some of our future goals are to:
**have a Homecoming Dance and Exes Luncheon as part of our Homecoming Activities
**have a Homecoming float for all Exes
**award scholarships to graduating seniors
**have a Valentine’s Dance for current students
With this said we are asking for your help. Donations are needed to reach our goals, and that is where both businesses and ex-students come in. All donations are, of course, tax deductible and receipts will be sent to all who contribute.
Please consider donating to the Alumni Association. Donations will be used for Homecoming week activities as well as budgeting for the above mentioned goals.
